AP6 VALIANT REGAL V8 - Alpine White/Black Vinyl Roof.

Face lifted from the AP5 Valiant, the AP6 brought two new models with it being the Wayfarer utility, and the V8 Regal.  The V8 was easily identified by the badging on the front guard, boot lock, and door trims, and the bonnet emblem which stood proudly and displayed the V8 image.  All Regal V8's also came standard with a vinyl roof with Regal badging on the C pillar.

The AP6 also saw the introduction of the floor shift auto replacing the unpopular push button system and at $3,600 when new, the AP6 V8 Regal also received power assisted drum brakes as standard equipment.

Chrysler had difficulty meeting customer demand at the time of production with an ability to only produce 200 cars per day at their Tonsley Park factory causing some people to wait up to 4 months before receiving their new AP6.  There were a total of just over 43,000 AP6's made in total and being the top of the line model at the time, this new Trax AP6 Regal V8 will not last long.
