The Trax Story
Trax Models was established in 1986, offering a modest
range of 1/43 scale FJ Holdens models. Since then, Trax has
grown to become the most sought after brand of diecast model
cars. Here's why:

Trax offers the widest selection of authentic Australian model
cars in 1/43 scale, bringing the greatest years of Aussie
motoring to life. Over the years, Trax have released an array
of popular Holdens, Falcons, Toranas and Valiants from the
50s, 60s and 70s. With fine detail, top quality finishing
and packaging, plus more original colours to choose from,
Trax model collectors enjoy excellent value for money. The
Trax Models book, now in its fith edition, details the history,
production quantities and current market value of every Trax
model produced.
New generation Trax packaging
All 1:43 scale Trax models released since January 2004 are
packaged in a clear perspex display case. The perspex cover
shields the model from dust and provides optimum model viewing.
The story card positioned behind the model can be easily removed
for 360 degrees viewing of the model. A notable breakthrough with
this packaging is the new 'finger control' screws on the
underside of the plinth. These screws are easily removed,
without the need for a screw driver.
Strictly limited editions policy
Only a specific quantity of each model, or set, in a particular
colour scheme is produced. Due to increasingly high demand
for popular models, some sell out faster than others. Once
they're sold out, they're no longer available from Trax.
Regular releases of new Trax models
New release models are always being added to the Trax range,
so there's a good chance your favourite model will appear
in a future Trax catalogue. Each new release is only available
direct from Trax Models. Collectors enjoy the satisfaction
of knowing that many of their models will increase in value
over time, some to many times their original price.
The second-hand market often commands high prices for popular
Trax models, so if you see a favourite model in our catalogue,
order quickly and you'll receive a 'mint-boxed' model at the
original release price.
