Introduction
The Golden Age of Australian Motoring began in 1948 with the launch
of the first truly Australian car. Holden led the way, followed
by Ford and Chrysler. Until the advent of the "World
Car" where major manufacturers created one vehicle to
suit many countries, Australian Manufacturers turned out a
host of original designs, which were essentially unique to
Australia.
These cars, from "FJ Holdens" to
"Falcons" together with "Valiants" and
"Toranas" became part of the colour and history
of family life. In the bush, in the city and on the racetrack,
folklore grew up around these original Aussie cars. Since
1986 Trax has been recreating Australia's unique motoring
heritage with these authentically scaled and diecast models,
released in original colour schemes and distributed to eager
collectors around Australia and across the world.
